The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals WA (Inc.) was formed in Western Australia in 1892 and has the responsibility for administering the Animal Welfare Act 2002. It promotes kindness to animals, prevents or suppresses cruelty to animals And does lawful acts as the Society may consider conducive or incidental to the attainment of these objectives.

PRRR - Perth Rat Rescue & Rehab was founded in 2008 (The Chinese year of the RAT) in order to give abandoned Rats a "forever home". One of our committments to the animals in our care is that we will not euthanase healthy animals just so we can rescue more. The animals that have been surrendered to us will live within our family, be treated as one of our own rats until such time as they are offered a suitable forever home.

South West Animal Rescue Inc. is a not for profit organisation based in  Bunbury, the south west of Western Australia. We are run entirely by a small, but dedicated group of volunteers. South West Animal Rescue (SWAR) was established in November 2006 to address the lack of an animal shelter in the Bunbury area.

To promote kindness and to prevent or suppress cruelty to animals and other creatures. To promote the welfare of animals and other creatures. To oppose vivisection absolutely and entirely and without attempt at compromise of any kind. To engage in any activity which is reasonable necessary for the attainment of any of the foregoing objects.

At the Dogs’ Refuge Home in Shenton Park we love dogs and are committed to saving them. In fact we save hundreds of unwanted, neglected, abandoned and abused dogs every year. SAFE began in the Pilbara region of WA in Karratha in February 2003 to address the lack of an animal shelter for homeless cats & dogs.  In the past many of these animals were euthanased because there was no organisation to facilitate the rescue and rehoming of these animals.  This was quickly followed by the formation of SAFE Hedland in July 2003.

SAFE Perth (Saving Perth Animals From Euthanasia Inc) commenced in Perth approximately two years ago, with three members. The dedication and hard work of our members has grown the organization and ensured that cats, dogs and other animals in Perth are saved from euthanasia each week.

SAFE Perth Inc operates through a network of animal foster carers and other volunteers who assist in a variety of tasks.
