Husky Rescue Southern Africa

Husky Rescue SA has developed a rescue program to accommodate these unwanted, abandoned and very often abused dogs. Husky Rescue SA are contacted by a member of the public or an animal welfare organisation. One of the members drives to the location to collect the dog. The dog is then taken to a veterinary clinic where he or she is treated for any illness or injuries, sterilized, vaccinated, de-wormed and micro-chipped. The dog is then placed with a foster family until a new owner can be found.

We are in desperate need of foster homes & volunteers(reference researchers and message monitors) throughout southeastern Virginia. SHINE cannot continue to help homeless huskies without YOU! Fostering is the hardest job in rescue, but if you can do it, it is also the most rewarding experience. It is extremely difficult to take a husky into your home, treat it like one of your own and then give it to another family.

Save Our Siberians - Siberspace Rescue Fund

Organization which raises and disburses funds to assist Siberian Husky rescue groups and individuals with non-routine expenses incurred for rescue dogs. This might include paying for heartworm treatment or making a contribution towards major surgery or multiple medical expenses. Applications for funds must be submitted to our rescue coordinator.
