The Labrador Club of Western Australia (Inc) is dedicated to the health and welfare of the Labrador Retriever breed while conserving the original breed function - that of a "working retriever." A purebred dog offers to his owner the likelihood that he will be a specific size, shape, colour and temperament. The predictability of a breed comes from selection for traits that are desirable and away from traits that are undesirable.

The Labrador Retriever Club of South Australia was formed in 1960. Our aim is to promote pedigreed Labrador Retrievers and the improvement of the breed.

Devoted to the improvement of quality in the breeding, working and exhibiting of Labrador Retrievers.  The Club runs Retrieving Trials, and an Open and a Championship Show each year. Members of the Club also participate in Obedience, Agility and Tracking Trials.

The club is made up of enthusiastic people who own, train and love Labrador Retrievers who are always willing to discuss training, kennelling, showing, working, rearing, feeding and all aspects of owning a Labrador. During the year we conduct a number of field and retrieving trials, a championship show, an open show, social days including members' competitions; all of which are held for the purpose of promoting the objectives of this club.
