The Club was formed at a meeting held at the Manchester Show in March 1906. It has remained active since, although with some interruptions caused by world and other events, and has been predominantly centred in the Manchester area. The Club currently has a membership of around sixty and runs popular shows twice-a-year.

We have supporting members from various states including Arizona, Washington, Tennessee, Iowa, Colorado, and North Carolina. We also have members from the Northern Club which is reciprocated by members from our Southern Club. The two clubs support each other's specialty shows.

The Irish Terrier Association was formed in 1911. The Association holds its annual championship show in June and the open show and fun day in September. Please come along and support our events where you can meet other Irish Terrier owners and breeders and enjoy a day talking about Irish Terriers.

The Club was formed in 2006 by Australia's enthusiastic breeders. We hope this website is informative to the public who are considering this wonderful breed as a companion.  We also want this to be a place to showcase the high standard of Irish Terriers that Australia has to offer.  Membership to the ITCA is open to all people who have a love or interest in this breed.  Please see our membership page for details on joining.
