In recent years the Club has gone from strength to strength. We have many enthusiastic members exhibiting their Danes all over the country. We run an Open Show and a Championship Show each year. We also produce regular Club Newsletters to keep members informed of Club activities and health items etc.

Our Constitution calls for all activities to be organised within the Counties of Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

The Great Dane Club of Oxford (CT), Inc. was founded in 1968 for the purpose of protecting and advancing the interest of the Great Dane. Meetings are generally held on the fourth (4th) Wednesday of the month except during December, when we hold our Annual Meeting/Holiday Party on a date to be determined.

Established in 1883 The Great Dane Club is the oldest Dane Club in the World. The object of the Club has always been to improve the Great Dane breed and to encourage free and open competition.
