OnPoint Rescue is a volunteer rescue group based in St. Louis, Missouri.  We primarily rescue English Pointers and German Shorthaired Pointers from shelters and find them permanent homes. We do not have a shelter and therefore depend upon foster homes to care for our dogs.

Our group believes that the German Shorthaired Pointer is a wonderful breed that has often been acquired by owners who do not understand its personality. Therefore many GSPs find themselves abandoned or turned into shelters. Each dog received into rescue will be thoroughly vetted and evaluated for temperament and energy level. Then we endeavor to match each dog that comes to us with the best possible adopters.

Originally intended primarily to cover the South West area of England.  However as there were no other GSP rescues with a web site presence, increasingly over the past few years the rescue has expanded not only to assist dogs from any part of the UK, but also (in conjunction with other rescues) to regularly assist dogs from Ireland, and sometimes even further afield like Spain, Cyprus and Greece.

Our group is comprised of people who became familiar with the breed, and wanted to be sure the abandoned Shorthairs in the San Francisco Bay Area would have an opportunity to find good homes with people familiar with the breed. All of the group has owned and fostered Shorthairs and is committed to helping needy dogs.

GSP Rescue New England is an all-volunteer organization committed to finding loving, permanent homes for German Shorthaired Pointers in need. We are an ALL volunteer group whose sole purpose is to find permanent, loving homes for German Shorthaired Pointers that have come into an unfortunate situation.

Illinois Shorthair Rescue operates as a not-for-profit breed rescue group based in Northern Illinois. The goal of ISR is to help German Shorthaired Pointers in need, to place them into responsible, permanent homes, and to educate the public about the breed. Our dogs come from animal control organizations, humane societies, and owner give-up situations.

We are a close-knit group of dedicated German Shorthaired Pointer folks, working together to place dogs throughout the Southeastern United States. We are all volunteers who have *real* jobs and dogs of our own, but donate our time and efforts to save the less fortunate dogs in the breed we love so much

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving purebred German Shorthaired Pointers in Wisconsin.  Our first priority are to GSP’s in kill shelters or other danger of euthanization.

Texas GSP Rescue sponsors events and participates in community-organized events for the purpose of fundraising, raising awareness about GSPs in need, and showcasing our adoptable dogs.

The rescue network has grown over the years, as well. I now have rescue contacts in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

As a not-for-profit organization, we operate through volunteers and networking to assure proper placement and lifetime assistance for each dog and enjoyment by adopting families. GSP Rescue takes purebred GSPs from any situation for careful evaluation and placement.

Pennsylvania. We are a network of volunteers that shelter German Shorthaired Pointer dogs in our own homes. We evaluate them, get them necessary veterinary care, and provide a warm and loving home as they await their new family. GSP Rescue is an organizational tool for those who have the capacity to love their breed beyond the regard they hold for their own personal dogs. We are a 501c3 non profit rescue dedicated to finding homes for German Shorthaired Pointers who have become homeless by no fault of their own.
