American Eskimo Dog

The American Eskimo Dog (AED), also affectionately known as "eskies" by many of their owners, are a "spitz" type breed of dog. The American Eskimo Dog, whose ancestry can be traced back thousands of years, has more directly descended from the German Spitz, from the same family of dogs which the Pomeranian and Keeshond have also descended from. Though the German Spitz can be of different colors, eskies are always white or a biscuit white color, with "sharp black points" highlighted in their nose and eyes, while their ears are alert in high pointed style.
