It is the purpose of the Japanese Akita Club of America, Inc. (JACA) to preserve the integrity of the blood of the purebred Japanese Akita. JACA pursues this commitment by engaging in activities which aid, promote, and foster the preservation and betterment of purebred Akitas.

An independent Akita Club, the ACPS was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1988, and incorporated by the State of Washington in 1990.  Our membership consists of Akita Breeders and owners, and all have a deep love and commitment to the breed.

The club has found its purpose in not only keeping its members and the public up to date on the Akita breed, but by providing obedience and conformation classes, conducting matches for its members and other Akita owners, and by participating in various activities relating to the welfare of the breed and the education of the public.

The Squaw Peak Akita Club is located in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, although we have members located throughout Arizona and several who live out of state! We are a group of people who love the Akita breed. Many of our members are breeders who show their dogs, while the rest of us are owned by our Akita companions.
